Julien is a full-zip cardigan worked in a dense rib that runs unbroken through the body and the sleeves, giving the knit its spring and its steady vertical rhythm. The zip travels from hem to collar, so the stand collar can be closed high at the throat or left open and worn soft. Raglan shoulders keep the shoulder line clean and the movement easy, while a tailored cut follows the body without pulling. Aveloire intends Julien as a mid-layer beneath a coat and as a light outer piece on milder days, which carries it through most of the season. The result is function stated quietly, where the weight of the knit and the run of the zip do the work.
